Course outcomes

Our course will prepare you to pass the PMI-PMOCP® exam by: 

  • Applying the PMO Value Ring™ and performance domains to analyse, design, and optimise PMO capabilities in alignment with organisational strategy and value delivery goals. 

  • Evaluating and selecting appropriate PMO approaches, governance models, and services based on organisational context, stakeholder needs, and maturity levels. 

  • Demonstrating exam readiness by accurately interpreting PMI-PMOCP concepts, applying them to scenario-based questions, and consistently selecting correct answers across all exam domains.

Extra Options

The cost of the PMI-PMOCP® exam and certification is USD475 for PMI members and USD655 for non-members and payable directly to pmi.org. 

This is excluded from the course fee, but Millpond is able to offer PMI Membership and Exam Vouchers in a NZD or AUD ‘bundle’ at the time of registration. There is no cost benefit to this, but it can make the process of joining PMI and paying for the exam easier for candidates and/or their organisation.

Prerequisites

To be able to sit the PMI-PMOCP® exam, you need to prove to PMI that you fulfil the following prerequisites: 

  • Have completed high school

  • 36 months of experience of working with projects, or hold PMP® certification 

  • At least 10 hours of formal PMO education – this course easily helps you fulfil this requirement.

How does this PMO certification compare to others out there on the market?

PMIPMOCP is the first certification to truly combine all three layers:  Strategy, Design, and Value delivery.It is validated against real-world execution - grounded in a formal job task analysis (JTA) based on hundreds of real PMO roles globally, ensuring the exam reflects actual work performed by PMO professionals. Is this certification only for PMO Practitioners, or other project professionals as well? 

This course is for anyone who wants to uplift their knowledge and capability in PMOs – particular PMOs which operate under aglobal-best practice value centric framework. Project Manager, Senior Leaders, Analysts, administrators and more. 

How many PDUs do I need to maintain my PMI-PMOCP certification and is this on top of my other PMI certifications? 

You need to earn 30 PDUs per 3-year cycle, and pay a small renewal fee. The same PDUs are applied across all of your active PMI certification. You can read more about PDUs here.
